A Level Results 2016
Students at Cardinal Langley celebrate their success with 61% of students achieving A*-B or Distinction * in their summer exams. An outstanding 92% achieved A*-C or Distinction*/Distinction with an overall pass rate of 99%. This reflects the hard work and dedication of the students and staff and shows the strength of the Sixth Form at Cardinal Langley.
Mr Campbell, Head of Sixth Form, said ‘We are very proud of all our students and their achievements this year. They were a fantastic year group and were a pleasure to have supported. They were hard working and motivated with many achieving grades beyond our expectations. This is a very successful period for our Sixth Form and we expect numbers to increase even further this year given the high success rate that students at Cardinal Langley achieve.’
Melissa Collins, who achieved an A* in Business Studies and A’s in Economics and PE, said: ‘I’m pretty happy. I’ve worked really hard and now I’m looking forward to studying International Business Economics at the University of Manchester in September.’
Cameron Phillips, who got A’s in Maths, Physics and Economics, said: ‘I couldn’t have done any better. I changed colleges to come here and it has been much better at Cardinal Langley, I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I’m going to the University of Manchester to study Maths.’
The average grade achieved this year was a B- and we are expecting more students than ever to be successful in their university and apprenticeship applications. There were a number of star performers;
