A Level Results 2018
Cardinal Langley A-level Results 2018
Cardinal Langley Sixth Form continues to go from strength to strength with another outstanding set of results.
This year, 51% of all A-level grades were A*-B and with an average grade of a B- this means our results will once again compete with the best.
Mr Bridson, Headteacher, said, ‘The quality of work our students produce continues to amaze us and we are proud of these fantastic results. Many students have exceeded their expectations and more students than ever have been successful in their university and apprenticeship applications. These results are particularly impressive considering the national changes to Sixth Form qualifications and our students thoroughly deserve their success. Staff have worked tirelessly to prepare students for the new reformed qualifications and we are proud of our 98% pass rate, despite the more demanding content of the courses.’
All of our students have their own success stories with Rebecca Robinson who achieved A*A*A going to Manchester to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics; Aaron Boland (AAB) going to Leeds to study Dentistry and Georgina Hulston (AAB) delighted to be heading off to Newcastle. Imogen Hockenhull who achieved AAA is going to York to study Chemistry; George Wong achieved AAB and is going to Liverpool to study Law and both Imogen Rhodes (AAB) and Katie Hulston (A*AB) are going to Leeds – they said they were happy, amazed and relieved. Lauren Callaghan who achieved A*BB and is going to York to study Psychology said, “I have received so much support over the past two years and I cannot thank the sixth form team enough. After seven years at Cardinal Langley, they have well and truly prepared me for my future. I don’t know where I would have been without them.”
