WE ARE LOOKING FOR FOUNDATION GOVERNORS AT CARDINAL LANGLEY RC HIGH SCHOOL & SIXTH FORM COLLEGE
Are you a practising Catholic and are you able to offer some of your time and your skills to our governing board?
School governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and play an important part in raising school standards and making a positive contribution to our children’s education.
Our governing board meets four times per year and is supported through a structure of committees and link governors. A governor’s term of office is four years.
A governing board has three core functions:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Challenging school leaders and holding them to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils and the performance management of staff
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent. If you are interested in the role and would like to find out more, please contact the Headteacher, Mr Andrew Bridson, on 0161 643 4009 or by email to admin@clrchs.co.uk
- Whatever your skill or strength, we are looking for someone with the desire and enthusiasm to help our Catholic school and sixth form continue to grow and flourish. Governors with a background in finance, legal services, marketing, media or information management would be a particular asset to the school.
