Headteacher Letter 12 March 20
Dear Parent / Carer
The Government Coronavirus Action Plan includes the possibility of disruption to schools should we move to the ‘delay’ stage. As part of our contingency plan, teachers have received training on Microsoft Teams which can be used for online learning. Students will be introduced to this over the next few days so they are confident in its use should it be needed in the future. Students will also receive notifications when teachers have uploaded something for them to view and I ask that you check that this can be accessed from home.
We recognise that students and parents are concerned about the possible impact of Coronavirus on the 2020 summer exam series. The exams regulator, Ofqual, has advised that students should continue to prepare for exams and other assessments as normal. The latest updates from Ofqual can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/news/updated-statement-on-coronavirus
I will continue to provide regular updates with the latest information so we can work together to support our young people.
Regards
Mr A Bridson
