January Exams Update

A decision has been made that all of our external exams and assessments scheduled for January/February will not take place. This includes all of the BTEC and Cambridge Technical / National courses. On Wednesday 6th January, the government announced that teacher assessment will be used this year for the grading of pupils. In line with this announcement and the current national guidance summary of ‘You must not leave, or be outside of your home except where necessary’ we feel this is the only decision that the school can come to.

At the current time, we are unable to advise what the future plans might be for assessments and grading in BTEC and Cambridge Technical/National courses. As soon as this information is available to us we will communicate this to you. In the meantime, it is imperative that all students continue working towards the qualifications through remote learning. Work hard and stay safe!
